Marathi films are known for its social & realistic subjects and winning accolades and awards at various national and international film festivals. Marathi film Kshitij- A Horizon is also winning appreciations and awards. The film recently won ICFT UNESCO Gandhi medal at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa.
Kshitij is produced by Navroz Prasla and co-produced by Karishma Mhadolkar under the banners of Navroz Prasla Productions & Media Filmscraft Company (U.S.). The film is directed by Manouj Kadaamh. The story of the film is written by Professor Raybhan Davange and editing is done by Neeraj Vorlia. Yogesh Rajguru is cinematographer and Oscar Award winner Resul Pookutty has done the sound design. Kshitij stars Upendra Limaye, Child actress Vaishnavi Tangde, Manoj Joshi, Vidyadhar Joshi, Sanjay Mone, Kanchan Jadhav, Rajkumar Tangde, Child Artist Arnav Mandrupkar and Akanksha Pingale.
At 48th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) , Kshitij was selected in the 9 best films in the final round and won ICFT UNESCO Gandhi medal. In USA, at the Indian Film Festival held at Houston the film had won Best Feature Award. At the Cape town festival, director Manouj Kadaamh won Best New Film director Award. 'Kshitij' also received accolades at Global Migration International Film Festival at U.N. Geneva, Switzerland
Kshitij has been selected for screening at the 20th Hyderabad International Film Festival. It has also received nominations at the Kolkatta International Film Festival and has been selected for screening at the upcoming Third Eye Asian Film Festival scheduled to be held in Mumbai.
